"What would a partnership between Vans and Spotify would look like?" asked a professor at Miami Ad School. This is what we came up with: A completely new and personalised Wrapped experience, based on your taste and defined by it. For this one we jumped right in, creating over 20 patterns, in app communications, visual merchandising and even doing a studio photoshoot with the sneakers.
The patterns were created based on feelings related to musical styles that were possible to convey through geometric shapes. So for example, our Latin music print, we tried to convey something warm, cheerful and colorful. Thus the combinations were born.
The colors were based on the identity that spotify has been working on in recent years, and within that, we created our combinations.
Following this plan, we were able to create more than 20 patterns that can be mixed through the grid of a Vans and create new possibilities.
